Creative Arts Program - Creativity Explored

Creativity Explored offers Creative Art Classes and workshops for Preschool aged children. We provide all materials and arrive at Childrens' Centers or Community Education facilities.

Classes and workshops are designed to give children the opportunity to explore in depth, the rich experience of creating art in various mediums.

The primary aim for Creativity Explored Creative Arts program is for each child to be inspired by their own creative process, with a focus on creating, rather than the goal of a finished product. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to allow the children to work as independently as possible, providing assistance only as needed.

Classes are designed to offer a safe, fun and encouraging environment for children to discover their own creative vision and to explore self expression thru the visual arts.

Children will use traditional and non-traditional techniques and methods to learn the language of art. Children learn various concepts of art making, such as: shape, color, and texture. They will examine familiar objects and places in the world (still life, animals, people, the environment, etc ...) as well as the more abstract concepts of mood and emotion.

Creativity Explored also introduces children to the many forms of creating art, such as: printmaking, painting, two and three dimensional design, and drawing. Creativity Explored introduces the child to the world of art history and art appreciation, by introducing them to some of the greatest known artists and their works, as well as the period of art that was used during that time, such as: Picasso and his blue period, Salvador Dali and the period of realism, and Monet and the period of impressionism.
